A New Meaning for “Good Samaritan”

Many of us know the story of the Good Samaritan from our Sunday school days, but the term has taken on a new meaning with the launch of the “GoodSAM” app.

The app connects medically trained volunteers and first responders to close-by neighbors in distress. This allows for life-saving measures like CPR and defibrillation to take place before an ambulance or other help can arrive.

As of right now, the app is only available in Victoria, but it is rapidly gaining popularity.
